What is matched betting?
What is matched betting?
Matched betting is a legal loophole that we can take advantage of, to extract profit from the sign up offers and regular promotions handed out to new and existing customers by bookmakers. It is a fun and exciting strategy being used by thousands of people in the UK who are making hundreds of extra pounds a month as a side hustle.
How does it work?
When we make a bet with the bookmakers, we are also able to make a lay bet (a bet of the opposite outcome) with a betting exchange such as Betfair. So by laying our bets with a betting exchange, we are essentially cancelling out our bets with the bookies, and it’s in being able to do this that we are able to take advantage of and make profit from bookmaker offers.
Back bet – The outcome we are betting for “backing” at the bookies
Lay bet – The same outcome we are betting against “laying” at the exchange
We bet for (back) Chelsea to beat Arsenal at the bookies
We bet against (lay) Chelsea to beat Arsenal at the exchange
How much money can I make?
From the sign up offers alone, you could potentially make up to a £1000 in your first month. Once you’ve completed all the sign up offers, you should be able to comfortably make around £500 a month using reload offers. However, depending on the tactics and strategies you are able to implement from this website, and with the help from oddsmatching software such as Oddsmonkey, there is the potential to make £1000 – £2000 a month.
How much money do I need to get started?
Ideally you will need a minimum of about £50 to get started. This will cover the amount you need for your first qualifying bet with the bookmakers and the amount you need in your betting exchange account.
Does it take hours of my time?
You can spend as little as half an hour a day on matched betting if you like. It really depends on how much money you want to make. The more time and money you invest, the more profits you will make.
Is it risk free?
Yes, as long as you follow the guides outlined on this website, then matched betting is a risk free strategy.
Do I need to sign up to an oddsmatcher?
An oddsmatcher is a piece of software that assists us with matched betting.
It’s not mandatory, but you will probably 10X your profits just by using an oddsmatcher rather than trying to do it on your own.
I personally use Oddsmonkey, it costs £17.99 a month, which is a minuscule amount compared to what I make in profits every month.
I don't like sport and I've never placed a bet before, is this really for me?
Matched betting is totally for you. In fact having no knowledge of sports or a history of gambling can actually be a huge advantage as there will be no emotional connection to the betting and you can concentrate on the cold, hard numbers and get that cash flowing in.
Is it legal?
It is completely legal and has even been featured on Martin Lewis’s website Money Saving Expert. And the best thing about it is it’s completely tax free as well.
